You know what is lamer than lame? When you look forward all day to watching Top Chef, and then you turn it on and it's a freaking retrospective episode, aka, a complete load of garbage. I don't care where these people are now. Screw em. I wanna see CJ cooking up some foie gras with roasted sun chokes, NOW. That is why I am here, not to talk about everyone's present love lives.

For my birthday Christy and Danny got me a book by Tom Colicchio, the head judge from Top Chef. It's really cool, because it's all about just learning basic techiniques and ingredients so that then you can go and do whatever you want and be creative. It's funny, because it's a cookbook, but I've been reading it so far like a novel. Today I tried it out in the kitchen for the first time. Sadly, I did not feel it was a success. I did pan roasted halibut, and I thought it ended up kind of dry and tough and um gross. But never fear, I'm not going to pack my knives and go.
