Tuesday Night Cello Slam!

So a few days ago Christy and Danny and Lucy came over and partied with me and Gramma Joyce all night long. Which is to say, until like 7 when they had to take Lucy home to bed. But ANYWAY, here are some photographs to memorialize the wacky good times: Christy made us dinner. This is her contemplating the deep inner meaning of Stir Fry spice packets.

Lucy really likes my ceiling-cobweb-sweeper thing that has de-cobwebbed about half of Provo. She found it up in my room and insisted on sweeping up the house with it. Knowing the kind of nasty shiz I have swiped up with that thing in the past, we tried to make sure it only swept the floor, not people or hair. It...was difficult.

Lucy realized that though a toy violin is fairly cool to play with, it would be infinitely better if it were a toy CELLO, and proceeded accordingly. I'm excited for when she's big enough for the real thing! She is going to ROCK Go Tell Aunt Rhody, you guys, and don't even WORRY about Mississippi-Hot-Dog-Twinkle-Twinkle-Little-Star. It is going to be epic.

This is all of us concentrating deeply on our labors And here I think we were supposed to be looking serene and musical but I missed the memo. Oh well. You guys, Danny is rocking the cello! He blew through the first page of open string tunes and is starting to use fingerings! When he made his first E on the D string, I nearly shed a silent tear. We will be sharing Sacrament Meeting bookings in NO TIME.

After the cello jams Gramma even got Christy to do some violin'ing! A feat indeed. :) Come Christmas, look for the 4 of us on a street corner near you, busking ourselves a Christmas bonus.

If I were a good mom I'd do my child's hair. The pics turned out cute other then that!
