The Haps

'Sup y'all.

Black Eyes:

-Have to write an honors thesis by January 15
-have to write a linguistics paper, which is funny
because I don't understand anything in linguistics enough to talk about it for five pages but um I suppose I will try.
-The Perfect Storm starts on Friday: wilderness writing backpacking trip Friday-Saturday, test Monday, paper Tuesday, project Wednesday, test Thursday, GRE Thursday, paper Friday, workshop Saturday.   Becca, start making chocolate pies now okay?

Feathers in my cap:

-I came up with a semi decent thesis topic, so that whole thing is on the back burner for the next 2 weeks
-hiking in Utah sucks, BUT I really like all the people I'm going with
-at least my relief society lesson was last week instead of this week
-perhaps I can persuade Becca to let me set up a sleeping bag in Vector's room and will shuttle me to classes all week and feed me Citrus Drop and chocolate pie all the time?
-on Thursday I am using my connections to get into the BYU opera for free, thus having a fun time, experiencing the good things in life, and checking another thing off my Great Works sheet.  And yes, I do mean sheet.
-Oh this is a good one!  Becca (and Kyle?) are taking over as managers of my Etsy shop, and due to their efforts we've already had two sales this week!  And everyone keeps talking about how crappy the economy is...sheesh.
-I just remembered that Thomas Hardy exists, so I can spend all my free moments remembering that a lot of people (in his head at least...) are a lot more miserable and have a much shizzier time of it than I do!

Always, always remember that Thomas Hardy existed and actually was a real person. ;)

good thing to realize that the people in Tom's head had a shizzier time than you are having.
Also, I like you too. and I like hiking in utah. so just know that I shall be having a doubly awesome time and will be quite happy. (this means that you are entitled to feel even better about this trip) :)

How fun that the Opera is on your list! What's singing? I want to race to SF with you at least one more time and get there just before the lights go down.....
