Well.
I am done typing up all the quotes I've marked out so far, and it comes to nearly 3 pages! That is what I call AWESOME. That gives me only about 5 pages of fresh material to write. Also, a thesis to com eup with?
So, my topic...oh gosh. I'm kind of an idiot is the thing. It's for my writing fellows writign class, and it just had to be a research paper on some aspect of writing in your major. So, being an English major, it was one of those situations where it's so easy it becomes hard, because EVERYTHING is writing, so um, what? So I decided (in a feverish fit of abandon) to repurpose some research I started last semester but didn't pan out, and write about adapting Shakespeare to YA novels.
Yeah. Questionable.
So, it's actually turning out okay, at the moment. For the first um several weeks, when I remembered to think about it and look I found NOTHING that would be relevent to a paper that was supposed to be about writing, rather than like a literary analysis. But then I finally found some articles and books (with the help of my professor, who is a frigging rock star) so now I've got some things to go off of. But it's still a bit up in the air, because while I definitely have a topic and some information, nothing have really resembles a thesis or arguement or focused piece of anything. So...we'll see what happens as I go, I guess. It will be an exciting journey for us all.
