Something Funny:

I just got a job as a Writing Fellow, so basically I'm assigned to some random class and I tutor eleven students with two of their major papers.  So, today is the day their first paper is due, and it seems that these people are under the mistaken impression that I am an adult or something.  Everything is on email, so I'm getting these messages saying "I'm so terribly sorry that this is late, I know it was supposed to be submitted before class, oh my gosh will you still please accept it, in exchange for like my first born child or something?"

It is freaky!  It's like I am viewed as having a position of authority or something!  Good heavens.  First, Bio 370, section 2, next, the world?!

Mmmm... love that feeling. Being a TA is awesome like that.

Man, I wish I tutored university students instead of high school. I get no respect. Punks.

So there is some joy in having the authority to make someone's life MISERABLE!! Or not."Sure, foofoo, no problem. Don't worry." But it contributes to the "faker syndrome" feeling big time. I always think "who am I that you should be so worried what I decide?" Fortunately, in K I don't really get to decide much. (Your D page stinks!)
