Today I had my first experience with ice+cars=sliding on the road and thinking I'm going to die. I was pretty intense. I was making Peanut Soup, which sounds weird but is really good, and so I needed some cayenne pepper. We use to have some around the house, but it disappeared, so I went to Smith's to get some, but they were all out! So I had to swallow my morals and go to Albertsons!
dun dun DUN!!!!
I guess the full import of that is lost if you didn't attend Kyle's Sunday School class this week. We made a real life analogy to Lehi's Tree of Life Vision. The tree/fruit was ice cream from Smiths, and so of course Albertson's was the great and spacious building. (Incidentally, the dirty river/mists of darkness was a cave with a bear.) Anyway, I decided that cayenne pepper was worht sellign my soul for, so I drove over to Albertson's. It was very lightly snowing, so I was beign fairly cautious but not freaking out. It was all well and good, they had the cayenne, they accepted my soul as compensation for it, I was pulling out of the parking lot, when HOLY CRAP I was sliding out of control down the pull-in spot in front of Blockbuster!!
So, okay, in reality I probably only slid like 1-3 feet, with my nose barely out in the street, and there weren't really cars around to collide with me, so there wasn't really any danger involved. But STILL, the sensations of complete helplessness and abject terror were real! So, I drove home at a snail's pace, and vowed to not make fun of Becca so much when she hates driving in the snow. Also I learned that that's what you get when you go hang out in the great and spacious building. The wages of sin is a near death experience.

That is really scary. It happened to me several times but once I really did come close to death. Sorry you sold your soul for cayenne pepper-you should have tried Reams.
yeah that's RIGHT you better not make fun of me no mo'
OH NO! Danger of death for my girl. Reminds me of the time I slid ON A BRIDGE and bumped into the side. Don't mention it to dad, he still gets out of the body thinking about it--I had Christy in the car with me, I think...
Hey, how do I get my picture to show up the way Becca's does when she makes a comment? I'll bet it depends on the degree of your coolness....
Katy.. I think I want to make some peanut soup with vegetable broth because I loved Ashley's so much. Can I borrow your cayenne so I don't have to sell my soul also?
