The Post of Unthankfulness!

Hey! Not to appear excessively negative or anything, but as I was bored in class the other day I made a list of Things That Bug Me, and, given the holiday season, I figured now was a good time to share it. It's a really fun exercise, I suggest you all try it on your own bored time!

Things that Bug Me (neither exhaustive nor ordered)

1)Throat clearing, or audible breaths, when used as a weird verbal crutch. This comes up in a class I have, where the one annoying talkative guy always finishes his comments with a little gasp, that's almost a little laugh, but not really. It's just what he does after he talks. And it bugs the crap out of me. And now when you go out into the world, you'll start to notice people who do it, and they will bug you too!

2)When girls make up a higher soprano harmony line to hymns, because usually it clashes with the alto line, but they can't be bothered to notice. Jerks.

3)Most things people do while watching movies. I can accept a few whispered remarks here or there, (depending on what they're saying,) but really, when you watch a movie you should be pretending that you don't physically exist--no sighs, no running commentary, no eating sounds, and for the love of Pete no laughter unless it is excessively warranted.

4)The word 'irritate.' Ugh. That word is just so....aw, crap! Seriously though...'irritate' is to me as 'nubby' is to Christy and Becca.

5)Being in class, or even worse in the Testing Center, when it's cold outside and so everyone's nose is runny, and you start getting big, rhythmic sniffs. It's worst of all in the TC, because it's so quiet that you start anticipating the sniffs, 1...2...3...SNIFFFFFFF.....1...2...3...SNIFFFFF.....

Anyway, that is my list of really insignificant things to be negative about. Things that are GOOD are ...

1)It's Ashley's birthday, so we're takign her to costa Vida before orechestra, and then out to this gelato place on Center Street after orchestra.

2)I just finished my bookbinding stuff for the week, and I did NOT ruin my $12 piece of paper, and now that it's all put together I don't think it looks as stupid as I used to. The deal is, I made my text block (all the pages of the book) out of this paper I dyed with cherry Kool-Aid, so it's kind of reddish, and then I had to get this special paper to make the cover with, and all I could get was this nasty black/brown color, and I thought it was going to be awful together. But, as I said, now it's all together, the black/brown isn't so nasty looking, and while it's not ideal withthe reddish paper, it's not too bad. Let's just call it modern art!

3)Though I feel like I'm a bit over my head in several/most of my classes, I am at least feeling okay about, oh, I'd say 3 of them. Creativ Writing is going fairly well, orchestra hardly counts as a class at all, and bookbinding is awesome. So, who needs Early Brit lit, Doctrine and Covenants, or Gothic Lit? NOT ME.

4)No matter what happens, it's only like 3 weeks til Christmas, so this too shall pass!
