The best things about my apartment: wood paneled ceiling, really cool reminiscent-of-the-tail-of-a-whale drawer knobs in the kitchen, and my sweet awesome bedroom alcove. (Not pictured: awesome roommates, who are actually the best things, because no amount of marine hardware or slanty roofs could make up fora house of jerkfaces and jacktards. Luckily, that is not the case!)

I love those whale-tail pulls (a fluke). I've seen them before and wish my old house had them. We're painting our kitchen cabinets, are taking off our ugly pulls, filling the holes and will do without.
