What this week has taught me:

I need to check the date of the last day of finals for Winter 2009 BEFORE I sign the contract at my house for next year.  If it's anytime on or before April 22, NO DEAL.  

So you know, every experience is good because it teaches you something for the future. Park Place has ensured that I learn this lesson well. 

In other implied news, I totally have found a place to live next year, and no, it is not under an over pass with Wilfred and a cardboard box, but yes, it is a place which has room for Wilfred, and therefore it may truly qualify as a home.  I'm gonna go sign the contract as soon as Becca gets home form work with the car, provided of course that they don't tell me I'l have to move out on April 22--in that case, I think I'd prefer the overpass.

***Three hours later:  Did you know that some management types exist who are actually cordial and professional?  And that some landlord types allow you to stay up to THREE DAYS after finals to pack and clean etc?  I have renewed faith in both humanity and off campus housing.  Next year at this time, I will not be half as freaked out about life as I am now.
