Well folks, tonight was my orchestra concert.  It went pretty okay!  Actually, it probably went better than that.  At least, I had no parts where I thought "Holy crap, I'm totally lost and ruining the sweet tones of Schubert's genius!" It was pretty fun too--I had a really cool girl as a stand partner this semester, and we had a good time.  

The only sad thing about the whole thing was that Becca was not there to see it.  Becca has made it an awesome tradition to always come to my orchestra concert each semester, so it was a really big deal that she was in Amarillo with Kyle for this one. Kyle, I think maybe it's love?  Luckily for me, my wonderful friends Caitlin and Nieman came to support and cheer.  Jen Ricks and her husband were also there, but I didn't get to see them afterwards.  Anyway, in order to have celebratory good times, Caitlin and Nieman and I went to that one gelato place afterwards--the one on the corner almost of Center and University.  It was pretty tasty, and well worth it to get to rant and moan over how much better MY gelato place is (the gelateria where I toiled away all last summer.)I mean, these guys are definitely on the road to greatness, they're just not quite there yet by several long shots.  I'm sure, given time, they'll come around.

Any dang way, tomorrow is Holi Festival and I forgot to be really excited for it!  But now that I remember, I am really excited for it!  Again, this will be another thing I've never done without Becca, and I hope that her absence doesn't ruin it.
