Yep, it's me again, killing time NOT working on my paper. Currently, I'm 3 or 4 lines on the 3rd page. Only a little under 8 pages to go! Yikes. It's not my fault though! Well, not ALL my fault: Ashley called and so I went and picked her up from work in the mailroom of the MTC, and then she wanted to stop at Sonic on the way home, so what could I do? MY only option was to go get a cherry limeade to fuel the next 8 pages of my paper! So I did. Also we got a Holiday Mint Blast, (available for a limited time only!!) and it was good. Probably I should go get another one at 2 in the morning to celebrate finishing the paper! If that EVER happens!!
Anyway though I am blogging becaue I have several disctracting thoughts in my mind that are preventing me from thinking singlemindedly on Nelly Dean's heroic role in Wuthering Heights, so I thought I could get it out of my head if I blogged about it and then get back to work.
The main things I'm thinking are :
1)I want to get Netflix, and
2)I think I'm going to get a job next semester.
I started thinking about Netflix on an earlier internet break, during which I went to this random BBC website I know where I read reviews of the latest Bollywood releases, and I thought, wow, I want to see new Bollywood movies, but I don't want to go out and buy them, which hitherto as been my only mode of watching them, because that costs too much and is sometimes sad when the movie turns out to be lame. So then I went to the Netflix website and saw that they have a very wide selection of Bollywood films! And then I started thinking, dang, I am the kind of person for whom Netflix would be a very valuable life asset, because I watch movies all the dang time, but usually the movies I want to watch are not available to rent at stupid Blockbuster or the like, and that's too expensive and difficult anyway. But with Netflix it would be cheap and easy. Basically everybody wins. So, how about you folks who have Netflix tell me how you like it, and convince someone to pay for my membership for Christmas, because that would be fun too, even though it is cheap enough that I could fairly easily do it myself.
Oh yeah, getting a job. Maybe I'll save that for a future blog. Say, let's meet back here in, oh, how about 3 pages? By then, I will be half way done and happy! ...I have serious difficulty in even imagining such a wonderful time. Nay nay, Bhuvan, it hurts too much to dream like that!
