Saturday Morning

Hey internet. I'm spending a nice late morning on the couch with my laptop, pretending to write finals essays, but really watching a republican candidate debate and blogging about it! I think it was one that happened on Wednesday? Meh.
The thing that I am thinking, is that people are kind of lame. I mean, I realize that they have to say certain things to sound good, but sometimes it jsut comes off really dumb. Like, righ tnow they're talking about education. I always bristle when politicians start talking about education, because I feel like they don't know jack! I guess that's jsut because Mom is a teacher, so it feels like we have an inside view. So anyway, all of them keep on tossing out these throw away phrases like "reward good teachers, and bad teachers should find a different career." Um, okay? How do you propose to do that, Professor? Should Mom go out and write more 20 page reports on every teacher in the school and then you can put your little beaurocrats on the case, separating the wheat from the chaff? It jsut seems so silly, because I frankly can't see any fool proof way of making any part of that statement happen. So, anyway. That is whay I think. Yeah, it sounds nice and it would be great, but it's pretty impossible to realize.
Anyway, that is what I think. Don't worry, this is the first and last time I'll wax political on thee olde blogge.
