the haps

Something good about today: I got a call from the Geek Squad people, who said that my computer is fixed and I can come pick it up! Something bad: I don't know when I'll have time to go do that today! But I will MAKE time computer, do not doubt my devotion to you. And then life will be a lot more awesome, because Becca and I will have internet again, and I'll be able to write papers at home again without inconveniencing my sister and roommates! Hooray!

Here's the thing guys: I've lost almost all of my academic discipline! What is going on?! Like, last night, instead of intensively studying for my Doc/Cov midterm, I only mildy studied, and then spent most of the night talkign to people and watching X-Files! Dang it! Now I probably will have to put off taking that test utnil Thursday of Friday, because I want to get a dang good grade on it. And also I didn't think of a brilliant topic for my Brit Lit paper, which is what I was going to be doing right NOW, but instead I am blogging about not doing it! This is a problem. An even bigger problem is why am I not really interested in any of the Brit lit we've done so far, and thus am completely unmotivated to write a brilliant paper about any of it? Man, the only class that I am at all motivated for is Bookbinding, because it is awesome. And Gothic lit class as well, to a slightly lesser degree. I'm just into it right now because we're reading Wuthering Heights, and something I guess I should admit to the world is that I really really really love that book. It's funny, because the first time I read it I hated it, and then the second time I was like "meh?", and now this time I'm freaking in love with it! and the good thing about that is that I've already come up with a topic for my Final paper in that class, based on WH. So at least in one class I'm sort of ahead, with ideas at least.

Anyway, not like my academic woes are even interesting....sorry internet and friends.

ps I just watched Danny's "Goofy Goose" video, and it made my day. It also made me cry, but not loud enough for it to become socially awkward, here in the most crowded place in the library.

Hoe exciting to see that you blogged! Good luck with your fledgling (thats a word right?) study skills. Isn't that a cute little video? Most of it was from ages ago-we'll have to start videoing more. Glad about your computer!
